First off, let's address the name. The Fuck Off Johnny was inadvertently christened by our friend Paul Price (of Paul Component) when he misremembered the name of our BMX bike (Shred to Ed's). We immediately knew that we would use the name for a future project, but we were waiting for the right fit.
The Fuck off Johnny (FOJ) is our take on the modern hardtail mountain bike, handmade right here in Sacramento. It's designed to address the shortcomings of a traditional XC hardtail when things start getting gnarly: it's slacker, has a bigger fork, and can fit up to 650B x 3.0" tires. The FOJ goes downhill in ways you wouldn't expect a typical hardtail to go downhill, plus it can easily be set up singlespeed using our ONER system if you are so inclined.
It's aggressive, irreverent, and super fun. It's everything we hoped for in a bike named after a profane lapse in memory. The Fuck Off Johnny is simultaneously classic and modern, and it absolutely shreds.
